The goal for this brand was to bring respect, integrity, and pride to the McNulty name and carry on with what the McNulty fathers and uncles have been doing for so long. We wanted to create a new brand identity—something that is a good balance of OLD BUT NEW, rugged & RAW BUT PROFESSIONAL, SPIRITUAL yet EARTHY, BOLD but HUMBLE.

[ OVERVIEW ]
A logo family for the family name
Playing on the McNulty family crest, the logo mark uses FIVE PLANKS of wood in the SHAPE OF A HAND. Five planks to represent the five McNulty men who have earned their keep in the flooring business.
The type treatment is inspired by Japanese lettering where the primary logo lockup features vertical text. This is an ode to THE SPIRITUAL CONNECTION we all have WITH NATURE, something that is prominent in ancient and modern Japanese culture.
